METAIRIE – The endorsed candidates of the Jefferson Chamber Political Action Committee won in 21 of the 24 contested races. The Chamber’s PAC endorsed and supported pro-business candidates in a variety of races, including the state school board, parish offices, state legislative seats, supreme court justice and governor. The complete list of endorsements is attached to this release.
The Chamber PAC endorses candidates who most align with the Chamber’s philosophy and mission of improving the business climate and quality of life in Jefferson Parish. “The advantage our PAC Board has in its endorsement process is that throughout the year, we are actively observing the policy making side of the Chamber. We understand the issues, opportunities and obstacles therein,” said Nick Karl, Chairman of the Jefferson Chamber PAC.
In addition to awarding the endorsements, the PAC ran a self-funded targeted multi-media campaign. This campaign included direct mail, radio, outdoor, and social and digital media.
In previous years, the Chamber PAC has been extremely active in various local races including school board, council, municipality and state house elections.
