METAIRIE, La. – The Political Action Committee (PAC) of the Jefferson Chamber took little time to endorse three candidates in the upcoming Kenner City Elections.
“As the largest city in Jefferson Parish, Kenner needs strong leadership and a business climate that reflects the pro-business environment of our great parish,” said Jefferson Chamber PAC Chairman John LeBlanc.
Kenner is not only the largest city in Jefferson Parish, but also home to one of the largest economic drivers in the region, the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. Like Jefferson Parish, the City of Kenner is experiencing record interest in housing and business relocation. This makes capable and prudent leadership most important.
The PAC has interviewed and/or endorsed the candidates considered at Wednesday’s meeting during previous campaigns, and their years of service as public officials are well documented. While the remainder of the races need further exploration and discussion, the PAC recognizes the importance of announcing these decisions promptly.
Although the Chamber PAC endorsed only these three candidates, the remaining races will be considered in the coming weeks. The Chamber PAC will require interviews with the candidates for Councilman, Districts 1, 2, and 3. George Brannigan, District 4, and At-Large candidates Kristi McKinney and Tom Wilmott were elected without opposition.
